Information for Solicitors, Traveling Merchants, Vendors, Peddlers and Canvassers

The Village of Leland requires a permit for anyone engaging in soliciting, peddling or canvassing within the village limits.  Permits may be obtained from the Leland Police Department or Village Hall prior to engaging in business.  Permits should be returned to the Leland Police Department or Village Hall within five (5) days of the expiration date or face a fine.

Permitted hours for Solicitors, Traveling Merchants, Peddlers and Canvassers:

Monday – Friday               9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Saturday                            9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday                               Not permitted

Permitted hours for Vendors:

Monday – Sunday            7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
